Suzanne is a Registered Nurse with a Master's in Public Health from the University of Virginia. With over 25 years of experience as a mother-baby nurse and a former nursing instructor at the University of Virginia, she brings a wealth of knowledge. She specializes as a lactation consultant and newborn care specialist.
Suzanne provides expert, compassionate breastfeeding and postpartum support, blending clinical expertise with deep empathy. Her calming presence and wisdom are invaluable in ensuring Queen City Doulas remains a reliable and nurturing resource for families during this significant life stage.
Alyssa Duval
FAMILY COORDINATOR
Alyssa is a Newborn Care Specialist and Family Coordinator with Queen City Doulas. As a mom of two, she understands firsthand what families need during the early days and beyond. Alyssa combines her hands-on newborn experience with her behind-the-scenes support—managing schedules, answering questions, and ensuring every family feels cared for, confident, and supported throughout their experience.
McKenzie Simpson
FAMILY COORDINATOR
McKenzie is an experienced postpartum doula who not only supports families directly but also works behind the scenes to ensure every family feels supported and cared for.
She manages family communication and schedule coordination, ensuring Queen City Doulas families are well-supported. McKenzie also collaborates closely with our doulas, keeping them well-informed of all family communications to facilitate a seamless experience for each doula and family.
Kelsey Boan
FAMILY COORDINATOR
If you call Queen City Doulas, there's a good chance Kelsey is the friendly voice on the other end, and families are always glad when she is. As a Family Coordinator, Kelsey works behind the scenes to keep communication clear, questions answered, and every family connected to exactly what they need. She brings the same warmth to the role from years of hands-on experience as a nanny and postpartum and labor doula.
Kelsey stepped into the coordinator role so she could support all Queen City Doulas families, and her calm, caring presence means families always feel like part of the QCD family.
Valerie Knight
FAMILY COORDINATOR
Valerie provides hands-on support as a Newborn Care Specialist and postpartum doula and supports families and doulas remotely in her role as a Family Coordinator. She is committed to ensuring every family and doula feels supported and has an exceptional experience with Queen City Doulas. As a Family Coordinator, Valerie fosters a supportive environment where both families and our doula team can thrive through clear communication and thoughtful advocacy.
Olivia Meredith
FAMILY AMBASSADOR
Olivia holds a BA in Sociology from Trinity College with a focus in women’s reproductive health and spent a year studying with labor and delivery nurses at Hartford Hospital. She brings years of relationship management experience from the executive education industry. After receiving support from Queen City Doulas herself, Olivia now helps families choose their ideal support plan.

HEAD OF PARTNERSHIPS
Luiza has a BA in Family and Child Studies and dedicated almost ten years to working as a Child Life Specialist in the greater New York City area. Her primary focus was supporting children and families affected by pediatric oncology.
After becoming a mother of two, she joined Queen City Doulas to manage partnerships, collaborations, and social media strategy. Luiza's unique blend of family support expertise and strategic growth ensures Queen City Doulas remains a trusted and influential resource for parents.
